Closing of Peer Learning Platform Lebanon and Launch of Leaders4Equality

Under the Mashreq Gender Facility, the IFC celebrated in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, the first successful year of women’s employment peer learning platform webinars. Within the online event, the organizers recapped on the gains of the past year and announced the two winners companies Wakilni and Beesline in the competition of best gender diversity project. The event represented as well an occasion to announce the MGF phase 2 activity of the program with Leaders4Equality Cohort.

 

Dr. Nabil Fahd vice chairman of Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon appreciated in his welcome note the close cooperation with IFC on this initiative, women’s employment peer- learning platform.  He pointed out that the Mashreq Gender Facility came up at a critical time for the Lebanese businesses, particularly those under women’s leadership; he shed lights also on the extreme engagement of Chamber in gender parity, diversity and inclusion. Dr. Fahd, confirmed that women play a leading role within the Chamber’s board of directors and its internal labor force.
